Career and language scout
Since August 2024, the newly created Vocational and Language Scouts project has provided support in the area of language and integration into the regional labour market. The project, which is funded by the Robert Bosch Foundation and financed by the Training and Qualification Budget (AQB), is based at the Specialist Centre for Migration and Integration. This coordination centre serves, among other things, to sort out the offers in the district and advises the relevant target group of people with a history of flight and/or migration. As a link to the administration and an important hub for the regional labour market, it also focuses on those people who are not covered by SGB II.
The overarching goal here is to network all the players involved in the market and to enable closed educational chains and integration into the labour market. However, the pedagogical idea should expressly play a key role here. The focus is on people and their individual needs and abilities.
The following main tasks result from this:
- People who are in receipt of benefits from the district can be reached - counselled and accompanied
- Asylum seekers living in shared accommodation are visited on site as part of field services
- The target group receives an educational counselling approach that takes into account their life situation, interests, needs, wishes and experiences
- Contact person for potential employers regarding questions about residence, benefits and the legal framework
- Placement in language courses and educational programmes. Significant recruitment of people for the Wirtschaft Intergiert, Durchstarter, Lina and other language and education programmes, etc.
- Recognition counselling for qualifications acquired abroad
- Individual career counselling, job application coaching and needs assessment
- Planning and implementation of specialist conferences, employer events and creation of new network structures in the regional labour market
