Together with its 21 municipalities and Energie Waldeck-Frankenberg, the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg is developing an inter-municipal energy and heat planning programme to create sustainable and future-oriented solutions for energy and heat supply.

Energy and heating planning is concerned with the strategic development of an efficient, climate-friendly and future-proof energy and heating system for local authorities. The aim is to reduce energy requirements, expand renewable energies and organise a sustainable heat supply.
