Social Award Ceremony
Promoting the common good, recognising social commitment: At regular intervals, the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg awards a prize for voluntary social commitment to prize winners who have rendered outstanding services to the common good through their work. Especially in the area of social welfare, there are numerous people from Waldeck-Frankenberg, associations and organisations who take care of disabled, old or dependent people. Some of them have been involved for decades. These individuals or groups or associations are to be honoured with the Social Award. It is awarded in alternation with the other prizes that the district has been offering for nature conservation, culture and monument preservation for years.
The next Social Prize will be awarded in 2024 as part of the district's 50th anniversary celebrations. Proposals for the Social Prize can be submitted until 31 May 2024. Informal proposals for the award of the prize of honour will be accepted by the Social Affairs Department at the address Landkreis Waldeck-Frankenberg, FD 4.1, attn. Mr Berges, Südring 2, 34497 Korbach or by e-mail to henning.berges@lkwafkb.de. The nomination should include Name of the nominee, address, description of the special voluntary commitment in the social sector, length of time for which it has been carried out and whether the nominee has already been honoured for this in another form.
