Rescue service
The specialist rescue service, fire protection and disaster control ensures smooth operations in the central control centre of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district, prepares the area planning for the Waldeck-Frankenberg rescue service area with specifications of the vehicle system, the rescue station supply areas, the provision of rescue resources as well as the deployment and disposition strategy and organises the rescue service provision in the district, including patient transports and emergency doctor missions.
Furthermore, it commissions five rescue service organisations and four emergency medical systems to provide services, monitors emergency care, especially the response and arrival times of the rescue service and the emergency doctors, and appoints the Technical Operations Management Rescue Service, which is composed of organisational heads of rescue service and leading emergency doctors.
In addition, it concludes agreements with neighbouring districts on the provision of area and cross-border ambulance services, bills the home emergency call system with currently around 700 connected devices and the on-call service provided by SHI-accredited physicians, and monitors the uniform emergency numbers 112 and 19222.
