Together against racism: exhibition on right-wing extremism

The district of Waldeck-Frankenberg and the Hans-Viessmann-Schule invite you to the exhibition "RIGHT OUTSIDE, IN THE MIDDLE - An exhibition about right-wing extremism, manifestations and options for action". It will be opened on 21 March at 5 pm in the foyer of the Hans-Viessmann-Schule in Frankenberg. It will be on display there until 28 March 2025.

As part of the International Weeks against Racism, the exhibition provided by the Hesse Counselling Network will be presented at the Frankenberg school. At the opening, there will be a presentation by the Kassel mobile counselling service on the challenges and options for action in the context of right-wing extremism in schools. "The aim is to raise awareness of these important issues and create a space for discussion," emphasises Karl-Friedrich Frese, First District Councillor of the district, who will open the exhibition.

The exhibition provides information about various manifestations of right-wing extremism and shows ways in which everyone can take an active stand against racism. The Hans-Viessmann-Schule is also planning to actively engage its pupils with the content in class - including some work assignments prepared by the young people, which will enable them to accompany the content and follow up on the exhibition.

Headmaster Klaus Lötzerich emphasises: "In connection with our upcoming educational day on violence prevention in the school context, we were delighted to have the opportunity to present the exhibition on our premises. It is a low-threshold opportunity to introduce pupils to a difficult topic. The collaboration with the local specialist centre for the promotion of democracy and cross-phenomenon extremism prevention (DEXT) is an important component for us as a school in promoting the prevention of violence."

All interested parties are cordially invited to the opening. It is organised by the Hans-Viessmann-Schule together with the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg. Further information is also available online at www.landkreis-waldeck-
