Free time for single parents during the summer holidays

Once again this year, single parents have the opportunity to go on holiday to the North Sea with the district's Women and Equal Opportunities Service. As has been the case for several years now, the island of Sylt is the destination for the holiday. It will take place during the summer holidays from 20 to 27 July, once again at the Kassel district youth hostel, which is located between Kampen and List.

Thanks to its ideal location and facilities, the Jugendseeheim offers many opportunities to get active yourself - there are activities for exercise, games, sport and nature. The participating mums and dads and their children can also simply relax and unwind. Further information about the youth lake centre in List on Sylt is available online.

The participation fee for the parent-child holiday week is 395 euros for adults, young people aged 15-17 pay 320 euros, children aged 6 to 14 280 euros and children aged 3 to 5 165 euros. There is no participation fee for children under the age of three. The fee includes accommodation, meals, visitor's tax, programme and travel to and from Kassel by Deutsche Bahn. Single parents with a low income can receive a subsidy.

Registration for the leisure programme for single parents is now possible online. Further information can be obtained from the Women and Equal Opportunities Department of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district by e-mail or by calling 05631 954-1318.
