District hires career and language scout
The district of Waldeck-Frankenberg is strengthening its efforts to integrate people with a history of migration into the local labour market - and has hired a new career and language scout, Christopher Max Hechsel, for this purpose. His tasks include counselling and support services covering many areas of labour market integration.
Focus on individual support and networking
The focus of activities is on the development of innovative projects to improve labour market integration and the creation of new structures. This also includes career counselling, support in the application process, as well as recognition counselling and support. Furthermore, the placement of internships, apprenticeships and professions is also part of the offer, so that Christopher Max Hechsel, who already has over 13 years of professional experience in the field of labour market integration, also acts as a contact and link for and between employers, employees and the administration. The aim is to improve access to the regional labour market in Waldeck-Frankenberg for new arrivals in the district.
Integration as a joint benefit
District Administrator Jürgen van der Horst emphasises: "With the new position of a career and language scout financed by funding, we are expanding our expertise and strengthening integration on the local labour market." First District Councillor Karl-Friedrich Frese emphasises that the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg is thus actively taking responsibility for paving the way for people to find long-term employment from day one. "This is a big win for everyone involved," says Karl-Friedrich Frese.
Christopher Max Hechsel, who studied education and educational science with a focus on extracurricular youth and adult education at the University of Marburg, is also looking forward to his new role: "I am firmly rooted in the district and know the regional labour market and the relevant players. I will use this to support the people who arrive here with their career prospects."
The position is based in the Social Affairs Department, where it complements the district's Migration and Integration Centre. It is financed by funds from the training and qualification budget of the Hessian Ministry of Social Affairs and by project funds from the Robert Bosch Foundation. Further information is also available by e-mail: max.hechsel@lkwafkb.de or by calling 05631 - 954 2167. Anyone interested is welcome to contact the centre.
