Opportunities in the labour market: events on 22 and 23 April

The district of Waldeck-Frankenberg is organising two information and discussion events for local businesses on how to integrate people with a migration background into the local labour market. They will take place on 22 April in the Philipp-Soldan-Forum in Frankenberg and on 23 April in the district hall in Korbach - both at 5 pm. Interested companies and businesses are cordially invited to attend.

Attracting skilled labour for different sectors
As the largest district in the region, Waldeck-Frankenberg offers a wide range of opportunities for companies. Over 10,000 companies, from global market leaders to innovative start-ups, are based here. At the same time, as a rural region, the district faces the challenge of attracting skilled labour for various sectors.

Using the potential of migrants
The events are intended to provide a space to find out about possible solutions for using the potential of migrants to strengthen the local labour market and open up future prospects for migrants. The district's specialist centre for migration and integration cordially invites companies and businesses to talk together about which processes work well in the district and where there is still a need for action.

"We also want to talk to companies about their experiences and where we can provide support as a district. Together, we want to significantly improve access to our local labour market for this target group," says Karl-Friedrich Frese, First District Councillor. To this end, the Robert Bosch Stiftung and the University of Hildesheim will first provide expert input on the topic of securing international skilled labour in rural areas.

In addition, the district's integration officer Latif Hamamiyeh Al-Homssi and the career and language scout Christopher Max Hechsel will introduce themselves and the work of the Migration and Integration Centre. Finally, there will be an open exchange at stands on the topics of labour force and training, cooperation between authorities and municipalities and an outlook on what successful integration into the labour market can achieve.

The events are organised by the district in cooperation with the employer service of the employment agency, the Kassel-Marburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the district craftsmen's association and the district's business development agency. Interested entrepreneurs are cordially invited to take part and contribute to the discussion. Please register by e-mail, stating your full name, company, function and number of participants.
