District welcomes 13 new trainees and students

Apprenticeship or dual study programme? Last year, 13 young people answered this question for themselves and entered a new phase of their lives on 1 September 2024. First District Councillor Karl-Friedrich Frese was delighted to welcome six trainees and seven students on three different degree programmes to the district administration. He wished the 13 young people many interesting impressions and a good start to their training and studies at the district authority.

23 specialised services with different focuses and challenges make up the district administration. Six prospective administrative assistants and four Bachelor of Arts Public Administration students will experience some of these specialist services over the three years of their administrative training and degree programme and thus gain an overview of the activities in the administration. "In order to give the trainees as many insights as possible, they will spend three to four months in different departments.

The specialised services of human resources, finance and a specialised service in the social sector are mandatory," explained the First District Councillor. The students alternate several times between a university phase and a practical phase. The district is also gaining new recruits in the technical field this year. A "Bachelor of Engineering Civil Engineering" student will gain a lot of new knowledge in her field over the next three and a half years. Two other young women are studying for a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work, rounding off the wide range of study programmes offered by the district administration.

Anyone looking for a training or study place for the coming year can still apply online on the district's website until 15 October. Documents for an internship are also welcome.
