Reading with Nora Kellner: Talking plainly about sexualised violence

On 5 December at 6 pm, the Women and Equal Opportunities Service of the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg invites you to a stirring reading: Author and social scientist Nora Kellner will be reading from her book "OpferMacht: Klartext reden über sexualisierte Gewalt". In her reading at the Wolfgang-Bonhage Museum in Korbach, she will shed light on the effects of sexualised violence on the lives of FLINTA* - women, lesbians, inter*, non-binary, trans and agender people - in a powerful and factual way. Admission is 5 euros.

Nora Kellner, herself affected, brings her own story into her reading and explains how deeply sexualised violence is anchored in our society - not just as an individual problem, but as a structural one. Her comments go far beyond personal experiences. She analyses with a keen eye how sexualised violence is perpetuated, reproduced and systematically trivialised in various areas of society. Kellner works tirelessly for a society in which it is no longer acceptable for victims of sexualised violence to be blamed.

The reading is an invitation not only to listen, but also to actively reflect and act. It complements the current exhibition at the Wolfgang Bonhage Museum, which addresses the social structures that encourage and reinforce sexualised violence. The event is aimed at anyone who would like to engage with the topic of sexualised violence - both as a victim and as a supporter in solidarity.

Registration is required at www.landkreis-waldeck-frankenberg.de/veranstaltungen. When paying via the online system, a place is bindingly reserved. Payment on site is also possible, but there is no guarantee of a reserved place.
