#openoffice24: Job fair for public authorities on 27 June

Start your career and find out about job opportunities: Together with the employment agency and other partners, the district is organising a job fair this year entitled "#openoffice2024" for training and career opportunities in administration. It will take place on 27 June from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the foyer of the district's new administration building at Südring 3. Anyone interested is cordially invited to attend.

Starting a career in public administration
The aim of the joint event is to specifically promote training or studying at a public authority. The fair offers the opportunity to talk to administrative staff in person, to find out about training and further education opportunities or to familiarise yourself with all the professional and career opportunities offered by the authorities. Pupils, their parents and other interested parties can find out about the wide range of career opportunities in the public sector without obligation. They can also get advice on internships. HR managers as well as trainees and students themselves will be on hand to give first-hand accounts of their day-to-day training and work.

Many authorities involved
In addition to the district and the employment agency, the Korbach police department, the main customs office in Giessen, the Korbach-Frankenberg tax office and the land management office are also taking part. The town of Korbach, the town of Frankenberg and the town of Bad Wildungen are also taking part. "Administration is an exciting and future-orientated field of work," say District Administrator Jürgen van der Horst and First District Councillor Karl-Friedrich Frese. "We offer numerous training and further education opportunities and dual study programmes in a wide range of disciplines." These will be presented at the job fair. "And, of course, we as an employer would also like to introduce ourselves to new potential future colleagues. We look forward to welcoming many visitors."

"The public sector offers young people with very different interests a wide variety of training and study paths," emphasises Petra Kern, Head of the Korbach Employment Agency. "The spectrum ranges from administrative clerks to police officers and IT specialists. Interested parties can get a good overview of these diverse career opportunities at the Employment Agency Day. And we as an agency will also provide an insight into our exciting and future-proof training and study opportunities."

The employment agency and the district are cordially inviting all interested parties to the event. In addition to the job fair, there will also be a small supporting programme. Registration is not required.
