Regulars' table for new arrivals and returnees
Attention newcomers and returnees: The "Landebahn Waldeck-Frankenberg" initiative organises great events and meetings to which all interested parties are cordially invited. New arrivals are given the opportunity to socialise and exchange ideas with like-minded people at the regulars' tables. The volunteers of the initiative are supported in the organisation by the village and regional development department of the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg.
The "Landebahn" regulars' tables will take place on the second Thursday of each month, alternating between Korbach and Bad Wildungen. With this new rhythm and an increased focus on joint activities, the aim is to further strengthen the community. A series of events are planned, such as games evenings, social activities - for example waffle sales and rubbish collection campaigns -, drumming and music evenings, cooking together, mini golf, visits to the swimming pool, dancing, educational programmes, excursions and much more. The next regulars' table will take place on 8 August in Bad Wildungen. The village and regional development department of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district provides organisational assistance to support the voluntary work and organise the activities.
The "Landebahn Waldeck-Frankenberg" emerged from the "SuSe" project, which was run by the district for three years and subsidised by federal funds. From 2019 to 2022, the "SuSe" (Stand- und Spielbein ermöglichen) project was an important point of contact for new arrivals and returnees in the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg. After the project funding came to an end, dedicated volunteers decided to continue the successful concept independently.
