Transport department in Frankenberg closed
From Wednesday, 14 August up to and including Friday, 23 August 2024, the specialist traffic service in Frankenberg (Eder) will not be available by telephone, email or in person. The reason for this is the relocation of the specialist service with all services from Auestraße to Jahnstraße 4 (former Maurer car dealership site). Registration, transfer and deregistration of vehicles and the handling of driving licence matters will be possible again from 26 August 2024. Even at the new location, registration and driving licence matters can only be processed after an appointment has been made. Appointments can already be booked online for the period after 26 August.
Whether it's registering or deregistering a car, many things can now be done from home. Simply search for the relevant matter on the website and click on the "Online application" tab in the search bar to start the online application. This also makes it easy to exchange a driving licence - without an appointment - from the comfort of your sofa.
