Walk and Talk" educational counselling: HESSENCAMPUS provides mobile counselling

Anyone who wants to return to work, continue or further their education, change their occupational field or catch up on their school-leaving qualifications can get free advice at the HESSENCAMPUS Waldeck-Frankenberg. From now on, this is also possible in very individual places - for example in a café or during a walk.

The new service enables those seeking advice to receive counselling during their lunch break, during childcare or even in the home environment. "In this way, we are even more flexible in our counselling services - and those interested can combine our services even better with their professional or private commitments," says Svenja Lotze from the Schools and Education Department of the district, where the HESSENCAMPUS Waldeck-Frankenberg is organisationally located.

How exactly does educational counselling on the road work? Interested people who would like to receive counselling could make an appointment at an individual location with educational counsellor Yvonne Bangert by calling 05631 977320, by WhatsApp at 0151 64443081 or by emailing bildungsberatung@vhs-waldeck-frankenberg.de. "This way, people can receive counselling on their career prospects quite conveniently during their lunch break or continue to supervise their own children on the side," says Yvonne Bangert, who has now been working as an educational counsellor for HESSENCAMPUS Waldeck-Frankenberg for more than seven years.

Individual counselling
In addition to important information on educational providers and the financing options for continuing vocational education and training, it also offers so-called ProfilPASS counselling, in which those seeking advice receive a detailed profile of their competences. Due to the mobile offer, the counselling can be flexibly integrated into the everyday life of those seeking advice and people who do not have the possibility to travel to the central centres can also make use of personal counselling.

The Hessencampus Waldeck-Frankenberg is an association of regional education providers that has set itself the task of promoting lifelong learning in the district and supporting and advising people in vocational (re)orientation processes. In addition to specialist events, lectures and further training to expand personal and professional skills, people can also find a free counselling service at the HESSENCAMPUS.
