Chronic disease: Training on 27 September

Managing stress in a healthy way and strengthening resistance: this is the motto of a free training course on "Living with chronic illness" organised by the Waldeck-Frankenberg Self-Help Contact Point on 27 September 2022. Under the direction of health scientist and trainer for healthy stress management Manuela Brehmen, there will be a workshop on this topic from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Korbach district hall on Südring. The event will follow the currently valid corona rules.

Living with a chronic disease is particularly challenging. Regular rest and the reduction of stress are particularly important for those affected in order to cope with the challenges of everyday life and to avoid a deterioration in quality of life. However, stress is almost constantly present in today's world, and has already become a constant companion for many. A fatal circle is emerging here: permanent stress damages the immune system and promotes the development of chronic diseases.

The day seminar on 27 September deals with the possibilities of escaping this vicious circle and learning a healthy way of dealing with stress and thus also a better way of dealing with the disease. It will be shown how to strengthen the psychological resistance forces so that they support in coping with illness. The theoretical input is complemented by practical relaxation and breathing exercises.

Binding registrations for the event are possible until 22 September 2022 by phone 05631 954-888 or by e-mail shk@lkwafkb.de. As the number of participants is limited to 12, places will be allocated after receipt of registration. The staff of the Self-Help Contact Point are looking forward to welcoming participants from a wide range of self-help fields.
