Network for Tolerance offers online communication training

"Even happy when the topic of Corona is not (no longer) brought up? - How to deal with opposing opinions on Corona among acquaintances and relatives" - under this motto, the Network for Tolerance invites you to an online communication training. On 21 March 2022 from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., strategies and tools will be shown to enable an appreciative discussion.

The aim is not to convey "truths" or knowledge-based facts, but to consciously question and reflect without devaluing the other person or oneself. The focus is particularly on conversations about ideologically charged topics in a private environment. Talking to each other and dealing with one's own fears and insecurities are addressed in the online event, as is the lively practice of conversational situations.

Trainer and lecturer for peace education and conflict transformation Christoph Pinkert leads the online training; the Network for Tolerance has already conducted several successful events with him. Especially in the topic area of conflict transformation and overcoming prejudice, Christoph Pinkert has accompanied a wide variety of target groups - from professionals to young people to international groups - in difficult conflicts. "The topic of conversation Corona is a challenge on many levels: here strong emotions such as fears mix with the most diverse world views. Especially when dealing with our loved ones, it is difficult to deal with fundamental differences of opinion," says Pinkert.

The communication training is aimed at all interested people, regardless of age or professional group. People should stay in conversation and thereby overcome boundaries, according to the objective of the Network for Tolerance. The event will take place via Zoom, a link will be sent one day before the event. Registrations for the event are accepted by the Network for Tolerance via the two e-mail addresses ursula.mueller@lkwafkb.de or violetta.bat@lkwafkb.de until 20 March 2022. The Network for Tolerance Waldeck-Frankenberg is a partnership for democracy and is funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs and the State of Hesse as part of the federal programme "Democracy Live!
