Speed on the B252 near Schmillinghausen is limited
After an increase in traffic accidents in the area of the Bad Arolsen-Schmillinghausen junction on the B 252 trunk road in recent years, the speed in this section will be limited to 70 kilometres per hour in future - in both directions of travel.
The corresponding signage for the speed limit will be erected in the area concerned as soon as possible - probably even in the course of the coming week. Until now, the speed limit in this area was 100 kilometres per hour. The restriction of the speed limit is intended to reduce the number of accidents on the B252 on this stretch of road and to increase the safety of the residents in this area.
With this decision, the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg supports a favourable opinion of the Waldeck-Frankenberg police department and the traffic advisory board of the city of Bad Arolsen - and approves the city's application to regulate the speed here accordingly. With this measure, the authorities involved want to further improve road safety in this area, reduce the consequences of accidents or, in the best case, prevent accidents completely. Hessen Mobil Straßen- und Verkehrsmanagement Bad Arolsen has therefore announced that the traffic signs will be installed at very short notice.
