Minister of State Peter Beuth visits vaccination centre
The Hessian Minister of the Interior, Peter Beuth, recently visited the vaccination centre in Waldeck-Frankenberg - and together with District Administrator Dr Reinhard Kubat and the First District Councillor and Head of the Health Department, Karl-Friedrich Frese, as well as the management of the vaccination centre and the Member of the State Parliament, Armin Schwarz, exchanged views on the Corona situation and the status of the vaccination campaign in the district.
Beuth praised the exemplary commitment of all employees in the fight against the pandemic and the professional organisation of the centre in the district town of Korbach, which the Waldeck-Frankenberg district is one of the few districts in Hesse to run completely on its own. He says: "The staff in Korbach do an outstanding job every day to protect the citizens from the Corona virus. The procedures on site have worked excellently, so that those entitled to vaccination in the district are well looked after and receive expert advice. I would like to thank all those involved for their great commitment and am pleased that so many people continue to want to be vaccinated here. Every shot given is another step out of the pandemic."
The district leadership of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district warmly welcomed Peter Beuth and took advantage of the visit to present the vaccination centre in the large sports hall to the Hessian Minister of State during a tour and to exchange views with him about the operation - and the associated organisational and logistical challenges, the availability of the vaccine and the upcoming school vaccinations, which are to start shortly.
"The vaccination campaign is a special challenge - also in Waldeck-Frankenberg as Hesse's largest district - which all employees master in an exemplary manner by joining forces here. We thank all those involved for this," say Dr Reinhard Kubat and Karl-Friedrich Frese. "The personal and motivated commitment of each individual contributes to the fact that the Waldeck-Frankenberg district continues to have an exemplary vaccination rate."
So far, a total of 66,032 vaccine doses have been administered in the district at the vaccination centre and by the mobile teams. 47,509 first vaccinations (vaccination rate: 30.4 per cent) and 18,523 second vaccinations (vaccination rate: 11.8 per cent). The vaccine doses that have been administered in the GP practices in Waldeck-Frankenberg since April are not shown in these figures and are still to be added.
