StreitBar of the Network for Tolerance on 23 June

The Network for Tolerance Waldeck-Frankenberg has already invited several times to its StreitBar - a discussion round where current issues, hot topics or irritating words are "argued" fairly. Due to the pandemic, however, it is currently not possible to hold the discussion round as an attendance event. The Network for Tolerance therefore invites you to the next Online-StreitBar on 23 June at 7 pm. The topic: "Trade Unions, Parties, Church".

Globalisation, changing values, individualisation and secularisation - these keywords, among many others, stand for changed political and social framework conditions for government action and political decisions. Parties, churches, trade unions and other large organisations, which for a long time (helped) shape the social culture in Germany, have lost influence - not least in view of dwindling membership numbers - but at least they are in crisis.

What are the causes of this crisis? What does this development mean for social cohesion and future decision-making in politics and business? How can organisations still position themselves? Are there other, new organisations that can take their place? These and other questions will be discussed by the public relations officer of the Twiste-Eisenberg church district of the Ev. Kirche von Kurhessen-Waldeck Kerstin Kleine, the organising secretary DGB Nordhessen Holger Kindler and SPD district councillor Sina. The event will be moderated by Peter Grohme, Education Officer of the EKKW, Dr Jürgen Römer, Head of the Department of Village and Regional Development, and Ursula Müller, Coordinator of the Waldeck-Frankenberg Network for Tolerance.

The participants of the StreitBar can already ask questions in the run-up to the event. For this purpose, the Network for Tolerance provides a padlet that is sent with the registration. During the event, questions are possible via a chat. The event will be conducted via Big Blue Button, a link to which will be sent to participants two days before the event. Registration is possible online at the email address ursula.mueller@lkwafkb.de. The Network for Tolerance Waldeck-Frankenberg is funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs within the framework of the programme Democracy Live! and the Hessian Ministry of the Interior.
