District offers vaccinations in Willingen on 28 July
Until now, a negative proof had to be provided in the gastronomy sector in Hesse if guests wanted to be inside restaurants or bars, for example. This is no longer required as of 22 July. In order to support the tourism industry in Upland, the district, together with the municipality of Willingen, is nevertheless offering a vaccination campaign in Willingen on 28 July without prior registration.
At the Visitor Centre, those willing to be vaccinated have the chance to get the vaccination against the coronavirus from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. upon presentation of their health insurance card. The vaccine from the manufacturer Johnson & Johnson is available. One dose of this vaccine provides complete protection against the virus. Pre-registration is not necessary, but desirable by calling 05632 - 9694358.
"The offer is aimed at all people from Waldeck-Frankenberg, but of course also guests who spontaneously decide to get vaccinated," said District Administrator Dr Reinhard Kubat and First District Commissioner Karl-Friedrich Frese. "We know that gastronomy and tourism have also had challenging months. With this targeted campaign, we would like to make a contribution together with the municipality of Willingen to make it easier for people to enjoy their holidays and stay in Hessen's number one tourist region."
