The district supports the Korbach fire brigade's equipment truck

Good news for the district and Hanseatic city of Korbach: its volunteer fire brigade is receiving a district grant for the procurement of a new breathing apparatus vehicle and for the purchase of radiation protection equipment. Karl-Friedrich Frese, First District Councillor and Head of the Fire Protection Department, handed over the grant of 126,455 euros to Mayor Klaus Friedrich at the Korbach District Hall.

"This special vehicle will significantly improve the provision of assistance, especially in the area of hazardous materials accidents," emphasised the First District Commissioner. According to the demand and development plan, two breathing apparatus vehicles are planned in the district; they are classified as special vehicles for supralocal fire protection.

Frese continues: "Together with the 70,000 euros that we have already paid to the city of Korbach from 2020 funds, the remaining costs of the procurement are now covered." The city will also receive a grant of 133,340 euros from the state of Hesse. The breathing apparatus truck will be used throughout the district.
