Vaccination: Times in Frankenberg and Bad Wildungen extended again

Through the mini-vaccination centres in the district area, the Waldeck-Frankenberg district continues to support the general practitioners in private practice in the vaccination campaign. The opening hours in Frankenberg and Bad Wildungen have now been extended again until the end of the year. It is not necessary to make an appointment.

In the coming week, vaccination with BionTech will take place in Frankenberg and Bad Wildungen on Monday 27 and Wednesday 29 December - from 1 pm to 7 pm. In Frankenberg, the mini-vaccination centre is located in the lower building of the Frankenberg district hospital in Forststraße 9a. Access is via the helipad. In Bad Wildungen, the vaccinations take place at the Breiter Hagen school.

Boosters after three months and only from the age of 18
According to an updated recommendation of the Permanent Vaccination Commission (STIKO) at the Robert Koch Institute, anyone whose basic immunisation was at least three months ago can be vaccinated. This does not apply to people under 18 years of age. According to the STIKO, they cannot yet receive a third vaccination. All vaccination centres are closed on public holidays.

Child vaccinations between the years
From 27 December up to and including 30 December, vaccinations will also be offered in Korbach exclusively for children from the age of five and adolescents as well as their legal guardians from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. each day. After the STIKO recommendation was extended to this age group last week, the district created the corresponding offer at short notice. For this purpose, extra paediatricians are available in Korbach in the last calendar week of the year to provide comprehensive information and medical advice if desired.

Have documents ready
Regardless of whether it is the first, second or third vaccination, the following documents should always be brought to the vaccination: The health insurance card, an identity document and, if possible, the vaccination certificate. Those who have already been vaccinated should also have the documents of their first or second vaccination ready. In addition, if possible, the "Information sheet for vaccination against Covid-19 with mRNA vaccine" should be brought along, as well as the "Medical history and consent form for vaccination against Covid-19 with mRNA vaccine". If possible, both documents should already be filled out completely. They can be downloaded from the district's website at www.landkreis-waldeck-frankenberg.de/impfen.

Vaccinations will continue in the new year at the mini-vaccination centres in Waldeck-Frankenberg. The exact times will be published in good time.
