Building Management
The building management service of the district of Waldeck-Frankenberg includes all tasks related to the properties and real estate of the district, such as the administrative buildings, schools or sports facilities. The mission of the service is to plan and construct the district's real estate according to commercial and economic aspects and to organise all services required for the use of the buildings, such as cleaning, janitorial services, energy purchasing and insurance activities.
Furthermore, the coordination of the planning and construction process for modernisation, renovation, expansion and new construction of district-owned buildings, including cost and financial planning, comes together here. The building management department also takes care of the purchase and sale of properties and real estate, rental and leasing relationships, non-school uses or the billing of operating costs.
Digitisation of schools
Digitisation is an important building block in the education of children and young people. Therefore, the district is constantly pushing it forward with a cross-departmental team to enable digitally supported learning and teaching for pupils and teachers.
Energy management
In order to control the energy consumption of the district's 77 properties, the district has an independent energy management system.
