Bike Schools

While in primary school cycling education is carried out under the guidance of the police, there are hardly any offers at school in the further school career. bikepool Hessen e.V. was founded in 2011 with the aim of changing this and strengthening cycling in schools. Schools can become the place of empowerment for cycling. Without empowerment, an increased number of cycle paths will hardly lead to more cycling traffic.

On behalf of the Hessian Ministry of Education, the bikepool Hessen e.V. is committed to the implementation of bicycle offers at schools and the training of interested teachers. It also helps with advice on the selection of bicycles and supports their purchase through the involvement of the AOK. In Hesse, there are now already over 100 Bikeschools and a network with many hundreds of teachers.

Bike Schools in Waldeck-Frankenberg

There are also some schools in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district that are bike schools. This means that bicycles are available for the pupils, there are AGs on the subject of cycling and the teachers are also trained accordingly.
